As online communication occupies a growing part of our social life, we are increasingly represented digitally. I am interested in the social norms and behaviours which are affected by this phenomenon. As the result of a series of experiments, I have designed a real-world avatar game HOST for online/offline behaviour research. HOST creates an experimental situation where one possesses the figure of someone else.
