A visual investigation is conducted on the basis of 50 complex information visualizations based on or containing networking structures. What use is made of colours? Which signs, forms, orders and structures are used to represent data and their mutual relationships? What are the similarities and differences between the visualizations? The book "Infostructures" addresses these questions and demonstrates the visual vocabulary of information visualization.
